Reminder: The Tax Amnesty Program is going on now!
The Massachusetts Department of Revenue is currently holding a two month amnesty program designed to encourage the payment of delinquent taxes by individuals and businesses. The program runs through October 31 and applies to certain tax liabilities billed on or before July 1, 2014. It covers a variety of individual and business tax types. Qualified taxpayers have already received a Tax Amnesty Notice in the mail which provides them with a period balance, amount of unpaid penalty to be waived if paid by the due date and the amnesty amount due.
